Case # 2300

This patient suffered from the classic signs of the aging female face, including excess eyelid skin as well as laxity of the cheeks, jowls and neck. A natural face-and-neck suspension was performed by Dr. Weintraub along with a conservative eyelift. Fat transfer was also employed to augment the cheekbone area.

Case # 2301

This patient had excess skin and fat of the upper eyelids and puffiness of the lower lids. Dr. Weintraub performed a blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), removing excess upper-eyelid skin and fat. To correct the puffiness of the lower lids, he employed a transconjunctival approach, meaning he removed the fat of the lower lids through an incision made inside the lower lid so that no marks showed. It is very important to know exactly how much fat to remove, otherwise the patient can be left looking “hollow” or unnatural. Plastic-surgical experience and maturity were paramount in this case.

Case # 2302

This patient disliked the puffiness of her lower lids that always made her look tired, along with the excess skin and fat of her upper lids. She also had a bump in her nose that she disliked. She underwent an upper-eyelid blepharoplasty (lift) in which Dr. Weintraub hid the incision in her blink crease. He removed the fat of her lower lids through an incision hidden inside the lower lid. He also performed a closed rhinoplasty. These surgeries left the patient looking much younger but still naturally beautiful.

Case # 2303

This patent was bothered by the moderate skin overhang of her upper eyelids. Dr. Weintraub removed the skin conservatively so as not to create the dreaded “deer in the headlights” look.

Case # 2304

Blepharoplasty, or eyelid lift, can be for older patients or, in this case, someone in her forties. This patient had begun to see her eyelids sag, as well as her skin becoming thin, like crepe paper. Dr. Weintraub performed an eyelid lift on her upper and lower lids. The result of a blepharoplasty should always look natural.

Case # 2305

On this patient, Dr. Weintraub performed an upper-eyelid blepharoplasty and then laser resurfaced the eyelid skin, causing the incisional line to fade into total invisibility.

Case # 2306

This young patient had unusually large under-eye bags, making her look tired and much older than her stated age. Her fat pads were accessed transconjunctivally (meaning through an incision hidden inside the lower lid). Dr. Weintraub removed the middle and medial fat-pad compartments, leaving no visible scar. It is of utmost importance to know exactly how much fat to remove: if too much is taken out, the patient can be left with hollows; if not enough fat is removed, the skin won’t be smooth. Dr. Weintraub prides himself on helping his patients to look naturally beautiful, as if they haven’t had anything done.
